Adobe to buy Macromedia

I wonder if we will see a Photoshop/Dreamweaver all-in-one web development package of some sorts. Perhaps even a new application combining elements of Macromedia and Adobe's flagship applications?

noOooo....

i always loved the feel of Macromedia and quite simply how cool their programs looked and operated. hopefully this will make it even easier to integrate the two (imagine doing realtime photoshop- quality editing and doing vector based graphics while in dreamweaver 🙂 )

Anyhow, even though I use adobe for my doodlings, I don't think this will be a good move for us, since Adobe is sucking up one of is only competitiors with a distinct advantage.

Adobe was the 800 lb. gorilla . . .. It's only going to get bigger. 🙁
 
damn... I wanted another company to buy them way back when MM acquired Allaire. 😉

Anyway, Adobe had LiveMotion which was inferior to Flash and never took off. They killed it after 2 iterations. And Flash Paper was very similar to PDFs... FeAr ThIS. Ok we buy you now.
