Adobe running on AMD

I am going to be building a few HIGH END graphics comuters and have to decide between using AMD K7 Athlons or Intel PIIIs. Has any one seen benchmarks and reliability testing, that come from and indepentant source, not the chip makers themselves

there are a bunch. i forget and don't care to search them out now, but check anandtech, overclockers, tomshardware, just to start. somewhere along the way you should run across links to others.

High end 2d I would go intel, cause photoshop has SSE optimizations.

High end 3d I would go AMD because of the vastly superior FPU.

For 2D Adobe apps they´re basically equally fast even though they only have SSE (PIII) and not 3dNow! (Athlon) optimizations. Some filters are faster on the PIII but most of them are about the same on either CPU. 3D apps are alot faster on AMD systems because of the Athlons fat FPU 😉.
