It's a reader, what exactly do you need?
You used to be able to cut and paste with the reader. I guess maybe I'm confused by being able to use Acrobat Pro at work for a few years, then not having it available, how useless the READER ONLY freebie works now.

Should be able to do that from FF, unless it's a bunch of embedded images.

For many simple tax returns, CalFile works but you have to use the state's web site and manual data entry. CalFile is free.
I do stock investing. Last year I had no trading activity, only dividends from it and did some online research concerning whether I had to buy Turbotax Premier to support that activity. The last bunch of years I did buy that and it's around $30 more than Deluxe. I saw some posts saying that Intuit had deceptive marketing practices and that Deluxe would certainly suffice, so I use that for year 2024. I suppose I could have used free tax prep software but next April I figure I will need Premier because I just made some stock trades. One reason I continue with TT is that it imports last year's return and riffs off it. I figure if I use a different program maybe it can't (or won't) import relevant info, such as which institutions I deal with, what my deductions were, etc. I'm sure a lot of people think similarly. Unfortunately, I haven't seen or heard a lot of info concerning these issues anywhere.

Yea, they tricked me back into using them again. I have a love/hate relationship with TT.
