Hi all,

My adobe reader 7 is totally corrupt. Everytime a pdf file is clicked on my whole system freezes.

When I try to uninstall through control panel add/remove this is what comes up on a repair or an uninstall. When I do the Add/Remove thing it comes up "This patch could not be opened. Verify that this patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that it is a valid windows installer patch package"

I google stuff but nothing has worked.

Thanks, Leigh

download adobe read 7, install it over your corrupted version, then uninstall it. Install Foxit instead.

You might have to manually delete Adobe Reader in the program files then do a search of the registry and manually delete all keys referring to it.

I like Baked solution. Go to Add/Remove Programs and do a repair. That amounts to reinstalling good files over bad ones.
