Adobe Photoshop 6.0 Question

Is there a way to get it to allow me to export to like 256 color .bmp? Like have preseted export things so I don't have to go through other programs to set what kind of file type I want?

If you mean a 256-color GIF, then you can just use "Save For Web..." (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S) You can save as JPEG or GIF and tweak sizes and color depths there.

Never heard of 256-color BMP.

Yep, just select Index color. Then Save as .bmp.

I don't think 6.0 saves in .bmp... Kinda wierd. I never noticed till now.

Yes, it will save as .bmp, assuming you've flattened your image.

you just go to file>save as , and pick BMP from the drop down menu. You dont even haev to flatten your image. This is Photoshop 6 only, I belive.

I stand corrected. Can't imagine WHY you'd want to do this, so I had no idea where to find it.
