Adobe pdf opens mediacenter 11 helpp?

Trying to download product manual for something (dishwasher, printer, etc.) When I click the 'run' button Media Center (11) opens. If I save the file to my desktop and open it, Windows Media Center opens. I can't get the PDF file. Any ideas ???? Please respond asap and thanks.....
 
Hold the shift button and right-click on a PDF file. Choose the "Open With..." option. Click "Choose Program". Check the box that says "Always use this program to open this kind of file", click Adobe Acrobat (or Acrobat Reader) in the Programs list, then click OK.

(You don't always have to include the Shift button, but on some systems the "Open With" menu option doesn't show up if you don't.)
