Adobe forces chrome install again

I try to uncheck the "install google chrome" checkbox, but it automatically checks itself again.

Is the new term for such software : "Forceware" or crapware ?
😡

That is strange, when opening the same adobe update flashplayer page under firefox i get an offer for a free mcafee virusscan. When i uncheck it, it stays unchecked.

But when opened in opera i get an offer for google chrome and it will not allow to be unchecked. When unchecked, it automatically checks itself again. 😡

Figured it out, click once and wait and it will uncheck it self after a second or 3 and stays unchecked. It seems as if it does not respond. Filthy trick. 😡

That's why I don't even deal with Adobe's installers anymore. Foxit reader > Adobe Reader and MSI installers for Flash with /qn switch.

what does the /n switch do?

I never got any prompts to install Chrome in the latest Adobe AIR, Flash, Photochop CS6, Illustrator, Audition, InDesign

The only crapware I saw in Adobe is when installing the Adobe Shockwave Player which I don't use anymore

Suppresses all user interaction boxes e.g. a silent install. Comes in handy deploying to hundreds of machines not having to click next all the time 😀

I realized the installer is not where the checkbox was but on the download page for Flash. Dunno about Reader but I think it's the same deal. Bypassed by the Flash distribution page and Foxit reader download.

McAfee is on the Flash downloader page at least. I mixed up with Java which has the Ask toolbar checkbox IIRC. It's been so long since I've used those avenues of installing I don't remember them exactly lol Don't see Chrome though..

I don't get any toolbars as well for Java, I download the full installer not the web installer
