wtf?? they're not letting you install old versions now even if you have to? that sucks! we should go to the adobe forums and see what is going on.

I haven't had any problems yet but maybe i'm just lucky...

I ran into the same issue. You need to run the Flash Uninstaller first. I used this one and it worked fine.

I'm going to do nothing because my flash is working fine (11.3.300.257).

And now for something completely different...an interesting side note, when downloading this version, firefox took me to directly to the previous folder I had downloaded adobe flash to. However this wasn't my last firefox download. Does firefox (or perhaps the Download Statusbar extension) have a 'smart' memory for where to put files being downloaded? I'm using firefox 14.

LOL, new version just crashed on me!

Yeah, it crashes a lot here too.

- Going from video segment to segment at Daily Show/Colbert Report/South Park results in a crash.
- Exiting full-screen (any site) usually causes a crash.
- Pausing a video usually crashes.
The good news is that I can just kill the plugin-container.exe process to get Firefox back, then reload the page.

And every time any Flash content loads, it still steals focus from the active window.

I'm one of the people that had zero issues with the previous version. But now Adobe crashes every time it tries to update itself to the newest version. I love it when bug fixes create new bugs..

Thanks the old version installed fine on IE but half the Youtube videos say "video is unavailable". Adobe's flash version detect page also doesn't show it worked but since half of Youtube does work it's installed.

On Firefox it seems to work fine now. I finally have sound on Flash videos. Same with Opera. Thx.

Did you try this: Run the uninstaller, restart, then install both with no browsers open?

For me: Firefox 13.0.1 + Flash 11.3.262 kept crashing; now probably not very secure while using Flash version 11.2.202.235.

I have seen no issues with 11.2 .. but then it depends on what types of videos you are looking at. Go to a shady site and all bets are off. Obviously Adobe lies, as they originally said 11.2 was to fix issues. Now that 11.3 is a major screw up, they want to roll back to 10.3 for corporate users. If that is correctly patched, why not do the same to 11.2 ?? ?

Some sites still have choppy audio in Opera (even with 11.2 installed) Not sure now if this is an Adobe issue or if some videos are marginal .. same video plays fine in Firefox and Internet Explorer with 11.2 installed. I wonder what will happen when HTML5 becomes more widespread. Will that eliminate the need for Flash and Shockwave ? ? ? Will existing videos be able to be viewed with full HTML5 browsers or will they need to be altered to work with the new format ? ?
