Adobe Flash Question

I have started searching on Ebay for a copy of Flash. I started bidding on a copy of Flash 8 Pro for windows and missed the you won because I was unwilling at the time to go over $140. It was unopened box and full version.

I have not researched enough but from what I can tell I can probably win a Flash C4 upgrade for near $140 or better given some time. The reason why I wanted to get a copy of Flash 8 is I already have a training book on Flash 8.

My question, Flash 8 is the last version Macromedia and seems to carry a preminum price. Whys that?

Lots has changed in Flash since then; I wouldn't recommend learning v8 unless you're really only wanting timeline animation basics.

thank you for posting the link and thanks to all who replied.

I had thought of maybe fiinding a Flash 8 Pro, learning, and maybe upgrading later to CS4 or CS5.
