Adobe Flash 10 for Mac is released

Yea.. just updated a bit ago, and it's MUCH faster than v9. We'll see how stable it is though as I continue to use it on a daily basis.

I got the beta for 10 and wasn't that wowed by it in terms of me not having to deal with runaway CPU usage. I think I will wait to hear if the performance really is better.

I'm still having Flash CPU issues here... Most flash videos bring my CPU up to 100% 🙁

Was just playing Pandora and noticed my fans were flying, checked and it was pulling 100% cpu

Ok, I take it back, Its not flash alone, its flash running within Adobe Air 🙁

Yea.. I don't understand why Adobe has such a hard time writing software for OS X. Maybe it's still the switch from Carbon to Cocoa.. I don't know.. but it's quite annoying.

Also, Microsoft is in this boat, as I hate Office 2008.

The Cocoa switch shouldn't have been such a problem for Adobe with regards to Flash. It is a relatively small app, at least compared to Creative Suite which isn't going to be fully Cocoa-ed until CS5 I think at the earliest. I think that is also when it is finally going to be 64 bit as well. Thus giving OS X the same speeds as on Windows with the CS apps. This is especially galling when you consider that Adobe got their start on Apple Macintoshes.
