Is it true that commercial customers must use CC??!

I've spent easily $30k in the past year or so on getting employees up to cs5 or cs6 or whatever.

Now we go to buy illustrator and photoshop for some new employees and they won't sell us the license..? It must be done through subscription.

Adobe is going to put themselves out of business or very hated. I for one, prefer to just pay the one time price for a software product. I do not like subscription models or software that works or keeps my data "in the cloud" .. They should offer users a choice of how they want it as they will get more customers that way. To the OP, your best bet is to find some legit place still selling the last non cloud version of Photoshop.

Yea I hope they burn hard for this. It was a rather ballsy move on their part and I hope it fails miserably. I understand the forward thinking, but you would think they would offer an option. They are going to force many to simply move on to something else.

If you don't mind the lack of major feature updates, you can grab CS6 applications and suites on Amazon and Newegg, among other places I'm sure.

They will remain perpetual licenses. I got a deal on a CS6 suite a little over a year ago.

I also went ahead and jumped into the $10/month Photoshop CC and Lightroom package - PS CC gets some nice features.
