I can't get it to stop automatically checking for updates. I've checked the "don't do it again" box many times to no avail. Is there a registry setting I can set to make it not automatically look for updates?

1. From within Acrobat Reader press Ctrl+K to open the Preferences dialog.
2. From the list of preferences on the lefthand side select "Update"
3. Select "Manually" from the "Check for Updates" pulldown list.
4. Click OK to close the Preferences dialog and save your settings.
