Does anyone know of a way to to pull information out of a PDF file so that it can be added to a database?
 
I believe you have to get the full version of Acrobat (vs. the free reader), and even then if the author "locked" the file you may not be able to "un-Acrobat" it.

How about OCR from a bitmap of the file?
