My laptop's running version 9.3.3. I'm looking at the PDF of the manual supplied with my new DSLR. The printed manual (supplied with the camera) has facing pages, of course. I'm looking at page 18 and 19 right now, facing pages. The default view in AAR is single page, and I want to see facing pages because they are set up in the manual to be complimentary. IOW, page 18 makes more sense if you can see page 19 next to it. In AAR's View menu, there's an item Page Display and in its submenu are Two Up and Two Up Continuous. The thing is that AAR has page 17 opposite page 18, then page 19 opposite page 20, but that's all wrong. That's the opposite of how it is in the printed manual. I don't see a way to make the correct pairing happen. Is there some way I can do that?

I got the idea to look for another PDF reader and found and installed Foxit reader, a free download and guess what? It does let me get the even pages on the left and odd pages on the right. Maybe it can be done in AAR, but I couldn't find it. I got it going in Foxit by clicking in the view menu "Show cover page during facing." Seems odd, but it worked.

Edit: Well, I figured maybe I could get a similar thing going in AAR, and so I opened the PDF in AAR, and this time by default it also had "Show cover page during facing" enabled. So, it's got it facing correctly now. I didn't even have to make any changes. Color me confused. I did have to open AAR first and "Open" the file, because Foxit Reader is now my default PDF program. It's billed as more featured, who knows? What I'm seeing on my screen right now looks the same to me...
