Bible thumping... great. Good riddance.
Frankly I find it amusing all the things that people like this try to use to back up their argument that porn is immoral and wrong, particularly when these people play games like Unreal Tourney and Counterstrike. Being raised as a Catholic I can tell you that bible thumpers love to quote passages of the bible that according to the church don't even apply anymore. Anything from the old testament is usually superceeded by what comes out of the new testament. The 10 commandments... well those I think for the most part are good guidelines. Don't steal, don't kill, don't put your parents in one of those old folks homes they show on 60 minutes. It's all basic stuff. I myself just try to go by the Golden Rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Even if you somehow think watching porn is the same as doing what the "actors" are doing it's still okay by the Golden Rule; I sure wouldn't mind someone doing that stuff to me.

The whole superceeding concept refers more to the ceremonial laws and observances - not moral laws. But...back tothe subject at hand...thick skin is a requirement for these forums.

Anyway, it's been a while since I've really seen eye to eye with the church since a majority of my "tastes" are wrong as far as they're concerned, but I do find it illogical that they invalidate only the ceremonial rules (sacrifice 4 young calfs, 7 full grown rams and...) but not the other rules associated with it, moral rules included. As far as I'm concerned the old morals still staying around -- save the 10 commandments -- are just the church's unwillingness to change. They compromised on the ceremonial rules I'm sure, but that's all they would do. In the meantime I'm going off the Golden Rule, like I said. Call it Morals 2.0.
