Adicted to House.

Been a while since I was really hooked by a TV series. Other TV series I've been hooked on include:

All the Star Trek series except TOS
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Angel
Babylon 5
Family Guy
Farscape

Now I'm hooked on House. Was really interested in it till watching the last 2 parter episode Euphoria where Forman contracts cerebral malaria. Now I'm hooked.

Don't really care for the show myself.

So the guy is an ass... that's not much material to base a show on.

What does he do this episode? Oh he's just an ass again. What about last week? Last week he was a huge ass.

Actually the point of the show is that despite being an ass he's a very likeable character. And each episode so far has been very well written and acted by all the characters involved.

no, pretty much with pale on this one. I liked the show initially, but proved too formulaic to hold my interest, I did watch the episode with cuddy stripping though.

It's a good show, season 1 was a bit predictable with no real attempt to develop the characters or have any ongoing storylines but it picked up after that. The finales for season 2 and 4 were great. Dr Cameron FTW!

Topic Title: Adicted to House.

ADDICTED to SPELLING instead.

No, I'm not the grammar police. But in a topic title?

But I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night!

I like the show also but since I'm deployed in Iraq now we only have seasons 1-3.
9 more months and i will be able to catch up...

I love House. The only shows that qualify as an addiction for me have been Lost and House. Have you ever heard people say that the story line is the same every single time on the show? - New weird disease, can't figure it out, they try shit, they are wrong, they almost kill the patient and last minute they save his life. That's totally true, but I think people compare the medical stuff to shows like ER and they don't see the great character builds and story lines.

House Rocks.

House ~ Sherlock

Sherlock Holmes

Can deduce a great deal from just looking at a person.
Holmes' creator based the character on a doctor.
His name sounds like "Homes"
Sherlock Holmes fought deadly criminals
Used cocaine to escape boredom
Holmes calls even his best friend by his last name
Arrogant. Said humility would be a lie
Read the agony columns in the paper
Languid and lazy when not on a case.
His closest friend had problems with a wound in his leg (although initially, the wound was in his shoulder)
Music is very important to Holmes and he plays the violin.
Aloof, although less so with his only friend and roommate.
Sherlock Holmes lives at 221B Baker St.

Gregory House, MD

Can deduce and diagnose a great deal just from looking at a person.
Greg House is a doctor
His name is another word for "Home"
Fights deadly germs, diseases and other medical problems.
Uses Vicodin for pain in his leg. And maybe for boredom.
House calls all his associates by their last names
Greg House is extremely arrogant.
Watches soaps, plays video games, etc.
Lazy until he is forced to look into something that intrigues him.
Has a medical problem in his leg.
Music is very important to House and he plays the piano.
Keeps everyone except Wilson at a distance.
In #207 "Hunting" we discover House lives at 221B ? we see the number as House and Wilson leave in the morning (but we don't know the street). See a screen caption of the address clearly visible behind Wilson as he leaves House's home.

My wife and I just recently started watching and we are completely hooked on House. The show is pretty predictable in the sense that someone gets sick, they misdiagnose a few times and then something comes to him out of the blue and he heals them (generally)....but the writing and acting are so good and the chemistry between the characters makes it enjoyable and entertaining despite the predictable nature.

We like it so much I just bought her Seasons 1-3 for her b'day so that we can see what we have missed up to this point.

enjoy the show, watched seasons 1-3 on dvd. however the finale for 3 and the first couple eps of 4 didn't really do it for me, then the strike happened. still feel a lack of interest, hopefully will get the fire back when the dvds are released.

Good show, I wouldn't say I'm "addicted" though. Season 4 had its ups and downs, but ended on a strong point.

A friend lent me Season 1 months ago, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet. Maybe I'll try and crack it this weekend since so many people seem to rave about the show.
