Can some one suggest me a good adhesive for sticking Force-Fit Standoff (Picture) to motherboard

I need it for fixing standoff which came lose due to manufacuture's use of low quality adhesive

The adhesive should hold the stand off firmly to the motherboard and should not come off easily . The standoff is used to screw heat sink to motherboard. Hence standoff should be glued strongly to hold the pressure of heat sink

Sorry for the dual post i dont know where it should go and..i really need a reply fast

Thanks in advance

your piccie doesnt work.

But, just go to a hw shop [not pc hardware] and ask them for what you want, and tell them the temps will be upto 100C [just in case].

yeah, sounds like some super glue is in order. Especially if u can find one that advertises high thermal range. Just remember once u glue it is going to stay glued.

I wonder if using cyanocrylates like Super glue holds it that strong.. cuz from what he said its for screwing heatsink and it would hav to be really strong to withstand the pressure and heat given by the heat sink

You should consult some electronic repair shop. they may know which kind of adhesive is best for your use

If you want a permanent fix, then fine. Bear in mind, the better the glue, the less likely you are gonna be able to change your setup
