Adequate PSU??

Trying to see if my PSU is adequate for my setup...I have recently purchased an 8800 GTS 640 and have been having weird issues.

System:
Asus p5b-e
e6320 @ 3.2ghz
eVGA 8800 gts 640 superclocked
Audigy 2 plat
1x 150 gb raptor
2 x 300 gb ide
1 x dvd burner
Ultra 600w Xfinity PSU
Antec p180 with 4 x 120 mm fans

Am I overshooting my expectations for this PSU? It's about a year old now and since i installed the card Quake 4 has had issues locking up from time to time.

Did you have problems before putting the 8800GTS in? What gfx card did you have previously?

600W PSU with 42A on the 12V should be more than enough for that setup.

It was not perfect before the 8800 but things have worsened since the upgrade, happens almost every time i play now...'should not' be driver issues as i used dcpro to get rid of old drivers before the upgrade.
I guess it could also be an o/c issue as well

the card b4 the upgrade was a 7950GT

Set everything to stock 1st. If the problems go away then you had an unstable OC.

That's a very beefy PSU. Shouldn't have any issue with your rig. Clear CMOS and load optimized default. Check for stability. Gradually raise your core speed and check for stability. Overclocking a 7x multi CPU to 3.2GHz can be very stressful on the CPU, MB, and RAMs.

And check if the rails are stable. I.e the +12v rail should be around 12v and not 13 or 14.
