A trojan horse removed the windows address bar and tool bar. Now the trojan horse was removed but how to get the address bar back?

What Trojan Horse did it, do you remember the name, or can you look it up in the antivirus logs/reports? As an initial step, you might try Spybot S&D since it detects some of this sort of stuff and can undo it.

Also, this is getting scooted over to Security, since the Windows/PC Software forum has more to do with apps.

If System Restore is enabled and there's a SR point from before the infection, you could try that as an easy solution. Otherwise, you could start off with Spybot S&D to see if it can fix the changes.

Any good?

Umm. what browser? Have you tried the hotkey or menu option to toggle showing the tool bar and address bar? For instance, in IE7, hit the F11 key to toggle showing/not showing the file/edit/view/etc. menus.
