Since it's obvious Jason doesn't want to spend every waking minute adding emoticons, why doesn't somebody write a firefox plugin to add emoticons. If the plugin sees :keg; in a post, it replaces it with a locally stored emote or maybe one from bbzzdd.com.

notfred already wrote a script to ignore certain users. I'm sure this would be possible too.

Edit: Woah, I started a discussion in OT about this and the Mods killed it. So that's a no go.

Glad to see someone posted in here about the BBQ. The :keg; could have been used quite a bit.

So could hamburger, hot dog, ketchup and mustard emoticons. Just throwing ideas out there.

The thread is back

The Mods deleted it because they weren't sure how the script worked and that there might be a possibility of malicious code or some other detrimental effect to the servers. I think they're convinced that this isn't the case.
