Ok, I think I heard Sata drives don't have slave\master issues ...
I have a system, running xp on the pata, no problem there.
bought a WD Sata drive, connected, the startup screen showed it recognizes it, but coming onto windows, it doens't show up on my computer, doesn't find it automatically in "add new hardware" , and even after I found the driver online it didn't help.
do I need to change the Pata one to slave? then I would have to move the entire system to the new drive?
