adding a PVR to my pc

hey everybody out there i was wondering if you could help me with a question. i want to add a tv tuner card to my pc, but i already have a graphics card that i dont want to give up (x1900 xtx). is it possible to add a tuner card and still use the card i have? and if so, is there any cards you recommend? thanks in advance

yes, if you get a regular TV tuner card, and not a card like the ATi All-in-wonder, then you'll have to continue to use your video card as is. Most TV Tuner cards are PCI, so you can add it to your system quite easily.

I have no been up to date with the current tv tuners so i don't know the high quality ones. But look to Hauppauge, they make good cards. Look into something along the lines of a Hauppauge 250 or 350.

hey thanks for the advice... my computer is a dell so i have no idea what kind of custom dell madness is goin on in there, so ill have to crack it open and see if i even have PCI available. ive heard the software that comes with the ati tv wonders is pretty crappy... has anybody experienced this?
