Won't be a problem for much longer. ;)

I'm sort of leaning toward putting it on the left, because I don't want the treadmill to be too close behind the seats when it's opened up.

I'd go with the left as well, but if you have another place for the treadmill I'd go with the right, and angle the couch a bit so people don't have to turn their head a near 90 degrees to watch.

Another vote for a new TV :) As for the seating it's kind of a toss up. I vote the right because it's a bit more in line with the home theatre setup. But then there's the post in the way.

The right feels a little awkward... I would add seating on the left.

I would put it to the left. An L type shape to the couches along with the pillar would give it the feeling of a wall being there making the area to the right a "walkway" into the separate "room"

More seating on the right.

I would also make a table around that pillar and use that for some kind of drink holder / coffee table hybrid. Im thinking a smallish circle top with some L brackets for support against the pillar or something very low profile like that. Would give you a sort of end table between seating

Personally, I'd move everything. It looks like a small basement, and the setup it has now makes it seem even smaller. You could open up the room by putting the TV on that left wall, then the existing couch on the right wall. If you wanted additional seating, put against the back wall under the window.

But that's just me.

That's how it was before. I moved it because I didn't like the asymmetry (did not show the entire room).
