add/remove programs list

A while back I installed some game demos and ofther small apps on more computer. I deleted them by just right clicking on the folder and selecting delete.
I don't do that any more but as I was looking threw the add/remove programs list I noticed that the old programs where still there and I couldb't find a way to remove them from the list. I now there must be some way of removing them I just don't know how. Can anyone help??

Thanx

nope there isnt a 'right' way to remove them now, you had to use the uninstall that came with the prog, or windows remove software settings, you might want to remove all instances of the prog in the registry.

you can try reinstalling them, then using their uninstall, or reinstalling them and using add & remove programs.

Yes type regedit(click start button & type regedit in run box) & type in the name(under find) of the program that did not get removed from add/remove icon in control panel & it will give you registry files for that program you can then manually delete them.

kmike is correct. The easiest way to do this properly is to reinstall and uninstall everything.

Playing with registry works as well, but is much more difficult and can cause serious problems with the system if you aren't familiar with what you're doing. Do yourself a favor and don't give yourself a reason to have to reinstall your entire OS...
