I just did a fresh re-install and come to find for some reason the add/remove programs in control panel doesnt work. NMOthing happens when I click it. Is there a way to fix this WITHOUT having to do another install. It really is a PITA to do another one and set it up the way I want it.
Thanx.

this is what make windows a superior operating systems, all these totally weird gui problems .. heh .. sorry but we all know its true.. and the most popular fix .. have you rebooted? ..

When the Add/Remove Programs applet seems not to work under Win2K, this is usually the result of a corrupted IE install.

Did you upgrade IE in Win2K? If so, reinstall it again. That should fix the problem.

I second the suggestion of repairing / redoing the IE installation. Also, SP2 fixed a lot of GUI problems in Win2K -- just in case you haven't applied that yet.

As a secondary note, let me add that I have never seen a Windows 2000 system which did NOT have some slight anomaly in its Add / Remove Programs applet's GUI. Sometimes you have to look pretty closely, and mostly it's just a matter of the wrong icons being assigned to programs, but the problem is definitely there.
