Add Ram

Does someone can explain to me, how to add RAm into my computer Pentium 3 733Mhz. I have 128Ram and want to add another 128 Ram.
Thanks

not hard at all, just open up your case.... Make sure its off ! 😉

lay it on its side... rind where u DiMMS are, and match up the pins... and bam... u got more ram... Ask if you arent sure..

But I have to make sure that memory is match... In other words, If I have SRam than I will not able to add Dram .... RIGHT?
Thanks a lot.

That's right.....DDR SDRAM is not compatible with standard SDRAM (nor RDRAM either).

ok... Last question
What choice is better...
I have 128 Ram:
Choice # 1
Add Two Ram each 64 Ram
Choice # 2
Add One Ram(128 Ram)

Thanks

Choice # 2
Add One Ram(128 Ram)

Because one it's still cheap, and two you may want to further upgrade past 265MB and installing one chip now will allow adding further memory later if you ever find a need, say for running Win 2000 or XP where the sweet spot is 512MBs.

control panel->system->

it should be on very bottom under general tab.

should say something like " 261,664KB RAM "

also, sometimes displays it upon post.

I believe that even in the first slot it was working, because (I opened application much faster).. However the computer showed the 128 Ram..... but thanks anyway
