it is the mother of all product. Lets get to the bottom of this. Any millionaires out there can purchase this a post a review. Let me know what works and what does not work.

Thanks gentlemen.

Actually it's probably pretty stable. Looking at their other products, they are a medical tech company. I doubt that thing was designed with Doom3 in mind...

Any idea on the cost? I imagine like anything else medical, it's hugely expensive.

Nice, but why would you want to add a PCI-e 1x/4x to an aging laptop?

OP, thought user names were limited to 20 characters???

Yeah... it's only x1 and x4. Can't put anything like a video card into that. Also, I'm assuming there's no driver support for it.

Shouldn't need one if it's properly implemented.

yeah,
exact think i was thinking about. PCIe 16x is about 4 gigs a sec, so the performace won't be anywhere near as good

"Sweet, I can run a PCI-E on my old laptop so I don't have to upgrade, and it will only cost me like 2000 dollars! awesome!"

this is not going to be of any use to somebody wanting to play games on their "aging pc". running a pci-e video card on a 32bit bus at 33mhz is going to be slower than any video card of the last 2 or 3 years included with a laptop, anything older than that it might improve is going to be too slow cpu wise to be able to play something like doom 3

This wouldn't work anyhow, the laptop's LCD screen wouldn't be plugged into the video card so this would only be good with an external monitor. Plus you'd need a power supply since most cards require themselves to be plugged directly into a power supply.

How do you manage to post to ATHD from France? During breaks between stages? Shouldn't you be resting? :p

exactly. you might be able to plug the card in, but it won't help you out any more than a 9200 or FX5500 or so.

wow I could get a PCI to cardbus adapter and.... in my pc.
Lance may win 7 times but he could barely finish the tour let alone make the top 10 before he got cancer.

He was a good 1-day racer before cancer his body reshaped, ripped down weight wise etc. he beat it, trained wound up being less bulky enabling him to climb and timetrial well something that doesn't happen to most riders. I think he raced in 1993, 1994 and quit managed 36th place in 95, got cancer and came back a completely different rider. I don?t think he has won a major on day race since wich he won a lot of before. Seems (he and his team) to only focus on the tour and has a short season compared to the rest of the pros, unlike champions of yesteryear (Bernard Hinalt, Stephen Roche (who managed a Giro, Tour and world champion ship in a single season in 87), Eddy Mercx)who raced competitively all season long. HE IS an animal and very consistant all he has to is ride the tour and he wins he doesn't need to atack even others just have bad days and he makes time on them sort of how Indurain was but even Indurain was more agressive, I figured in his last tour he would be more agressive but maybe the route didn't favor it (only a few moutain top finishes) or he didn't want take any risks.
