Add 2nd HD, but win2k doesnt recognize!??

I'm trying to add a 2nd HD to my system. Currently I have an ABIT be6-II with a maxtor dmp 40giger. I'm trying to add a seagate 20giger (5400). However, win2k doesnt seem to recognize this 2nd HD. I have put the seagate on its on IDE line and set it as a master. Anyone have any ideas why win2k isnt recognizing my drive??
