Adblock no longer blocking youtube ads?

Is it just me or are youtube ads bypassing all of the current adblock extensions for chrome?

I see no ads on Youtube in Firefox, but my adblocker is not Adblock and I use HTML5.

AdBock (and AdBlockPlus) has not blocked YouTube adds for a while now. AdBlockEdge still does.

What filters are you using? I'm using Pale Moon and between adblock's filters and MVPS HOSTS file I don't see any ads.

I wonder if Google will eventually ask the forum to censor topics such as this one?

You might want to consider trying ublock for chrome as an alternative, it is on the chrome web store

Using ABP, I haven't seen any YT ads in quite a while.

yea I use standard ABP easylist and I have not seen a YT add in decades

I haven't seen Youtube Ads, but I've definitely seen some on Hulu Plus.

Running an older version of Flash and Firefox, and I see no ads.

I use Firefox and Adblock Plus and I can't remember the last time I saw an ad on Youtube. I'd guess it's been a few years, at least.

adblock is being paid by some companies to not block ads

Like mzkhadir said, Adblock has a whitelist and will not block ads from that list, because they are considered "safe".
Go to Filter subscriptions and un-check the "Allow some non-intrusive advertising.
