I stopped using AdBlock Plus after they've become bloated with all sorts of crap, I use AdBlock Edge which doesn't have the stupid "allow non-intrusive ads" option and doesn't slow down my browser speed.

I noticed though, that if I don't manually click on the definitions then select update, they remain the same old outdated ones, I don't think AdBlock Plus automatically updated either.

I do have automatic updates on in the extension properties itself, anything am I missing here?

Hmm, mine says it did a definitions update yesterday. On its own. You might want to try removing it, restarting your browser, and adding it back.

ABP and ABE are the same. There's no "bloat" or anything else, they use the same code. The difference is a default checkbox.

In Adblock there are three more lists you can subscribe to. Malware list, privacy and Facebook tracking, etc.

I just deleted the Easy List and kept the Fanboy + EasyList Merged Completed list and Fanboy Enhanced Tracking list

So can I get rid of the following Add-Ons now or keep them?

1) DoNotTrackMe
2) Google Analytics Opt out browser plugin

I have GA blocked through NoScript, and generally block everything, so not much gets through. I don't use things like Ghostery, or DNTM.

IM a bit confused bro

if I use the Fanboy tracking list, will I need the Google Opt out thingie or not? what about DoNotTrackMeh?

PS: I don't use no script and I wont ever use it as it fuxors up my browsing experience and I don't want to sit and configure it for each and every page I visit

I don't know. I'd guess you do, but I don't use them, so reading the docs would be better.

Freedom isn't free. "Free" services cost you privacy and dignity. If one isn't willing to deal with the minor inconvenience of tuning their browser to prevent tracking, they aren't serious about security. A side benefit, is it speeds browser performance.
