HI GUYS

I bought ADATA recently, because it is cheap.
it can run 2000mhz,9-9-9-24
but I got some problem.
I run super pi, it can pass.
But when I run memtest, it occur error(30 minute)

Memtest errors are not only generated by memory...

"The test implicitly tests the CPU, L1 and L2 caches as well as the motherboard. It is impossible for the test to determine what causes the failure to occur. However, most failures will be due to a problem with memory module.
When it is not, the only option is to replace parts until the failure is corrected."

DDR3-2000 is a speed that isn't always easy to get stable, regardless of what your RAM is rated for.

Have you lowered QPI link speed? You'll almost for sure have to if it's set higher.

I used 32x (might be termed as 16x on your mobo) to achieve higher speeds back when i was on P55.

In short, a good bit of tweaking is likely going to be required.

Also, some RAM multipliers are easier to get stable than others.
If you are trying using the 12x one, you might want to just try 8x/10x initially.

What speed are you running CPU/all other stuff?

All details would be helpful, or pictures of the pertinent BIOS settings.

As Blain said it could be more than memory throwing you errors.

Since you need to overclock your BCLK just to hit 2000 MHz. on the memory I would suggest testing in this order.

1. Disable turbo, cstate etc. Set CPU frequency to below spec and leave CPU voltage at spec. Test a variety of BCLKs for stability varing VTT and PLL votages.

I personally use OCCT large FFTs to test this stage. It's awesome at stressing the memory subsystem.

2. Once you have your BCLK dialed, start by returning the memory to its stock settings and test again.

At this stage, the additional speed of the memory may require you to tweak your BLCK a little.

3. Overclock CPU. Test with OCCT small FFTs or Linpack or Prime...

If you apply your overclock in three stages like this you should be able to troubleshoot for instabilities relatively easily.

QPI Link will need to be lowered.

What numbers can you set it other than auto?

i know it shold be lowered.
last time i test other brand.
i set auto and it can run very well

for me the promblem is i acn run pi pass.

but i thought memtest software is stress for memory.

i am a little bit disappoint about this product.

by the way, i really want to know any infor about pll voltage.

I am not an electrical engineer but so far as my understanding goes, the PLL generators on on your motherboard controls the signal through your chip. Running your BCLK at 133 MHz? Something has to generate that 133 MHz signal. Now, if you up the the frequency to 200 MHz that same PLL generator my require more voltage in order to generate the 200 MHz signal reliably.

Bottom line for end users like you and me is that as you increase frequencies anywhere on your chip you may need to increase the PLL voltage to test that sufficient voltage is being supplied.

In my case, on my socket 1156 system in my signature, the default PLL voltage was 1.80V. When overclocking I really struggled to get anywhere on that setting. I found as soon as I increased the voltage to 1.85V I could hit a 210 BCLK very easily with only additional increases to VTT voltage.

You should find something similar. You may need to go as far as 1.9V and that is safe. Anything above this, I would suggest your problems lie elsewhere. Go back to stock everything and then take full control of your main voltages (no auto) and try pushing your BCLK, just varying VTT and PLL voltages. You should be able to hit 190+ BCLK relatively easily.
