Adaptor Compatibility

Does anyone know of a Serial ATA to IDE adapter that's compatible with Intel's D865PERL motherboard? If not, what about any mobo that uses the same chipset? (865PE/ICH5R) Thanks.

I don't think such a thing exists, because they're two different buses, though I suppose it might be possible if the drive was natively IDE with a SATA bridge on it.

Actually I'm trying to use PATA hard drives with the mobo's SATA controller. Such adaptors do exist but I think their compatibility varys from mobo to mobo.
