Adapter that comes with FOP-38???

I just got my fop38 from crazypc and I notice theres an adapter with it that goes from a small two wire plug to the regular 4 prong power supply type adapters (one male one female) [the two prong one is male].

I was wonder what this is for. I'm guessing it's not anything I should concern myself with, but just in case..

(and yes I already know it's supposed to be the loudest fan in the world, so please don't make fun of me)

OH! and this little square of tape on the bottom of the heatsink - remove it and apply the artic sliver, yes?

Adapter - Incase your mobo doesn't have 4watt fan headers, you use it to make sure you dont blow them
thermal junk - remove ASAP and put on Artic Silver
