Why is it that if I don't use Easy CD Creator for a while, say a week. I go to use it and I get a error message "No supported CD-R drives installed". I have to uninstall it and install it, then it works. Don't use it again for a week or so and the same thing happen again. Should I just use a different program like Nero?
I have a Plextor 16x 10x 40xA drive under WIN2K and MSI 694D Pro.
TIA

do you have the latest patch for ez-cd creator... if you do, you could also try downloading the latest firmware for the plextor..

Which version? 5.0 has many, many problems with Windows 2000. The 4.x versions seemed much better.

I agree with dewey. I use 5.0 with winME and 4.03 with 2000. I prefer the 5.0 but sometimes when I am in 2k I need to burn something quick but being 5.0 and 2k are flakey together I use 4.0 in 2k.
