does anyone know the difference between adaptec easy cd creator 5.01 and 5.02?
i've got 5.01 but can't seem to find an update to 5.02, but can see that there is a 5.02 that exists out there. (according to Kazaa software downloads)

All I can say is that I suggest you shift to Nero Burn. EZCD Creator is pretty sucky... Nero is way better! All the people I knew started of with Adaptec, but slowly moved on to Nero!

Same here... I started off with Nero 4 and tried EZCD5.0 platinum but went back and got nero5.5 because of its power and versatility. Anyway EZCD cause too many problems in win2000

EZCD 5 is HORRID!!!!!! I thought EZCD 3.5 was useful at times. After that the software went downhill IMO.

It must be a goofy hardware issue because EZCD5 works fine on my box (with win2k). I was using Nero, but switched to EZCD5 for making boot disks. I couldn't get the NERO burn's to work. EZCD5's work great.

Try Nero. I had to move away from Adaptec EZCD (bought packaged with my burner) when I upgraded to Win 2K and Adaptec puked. Adaptec would not give me a free update that I could find, and when I tried Nero instead, I never looked back! Nero is totally worth the price, but there are ways around that if you are a cheap-ass not looking to support further development of this excellent software.

Is there some reason you need to be using Adaptec EZCD? No? Thought so!
