Adaptec and Cendyne Burners

are their any known compatability issues here? i have a cendyne 16x10x40 burner (the orangey/yellow box) and i'm trying to use adaptec 5 deluxe and it says that my burner is not supported. anyone else have this problem and/or know of a patch or how to fix it?

Update?....possibly a firmware update as well?
