Adaptec 29160

hi

just ordered what I thought was an Adaptec 29160N (32bit, 33Mhz PCI interface). what i received was an Adaptec 29160 (64bit, 66Mhz PCI-X interface).

i know this card is compatible with the regular PCI interface, *but* compared to the 29160N which was specifically made for the regular PCI interface, how will this card's performance compare?

i think all other specs are same... just the interface seems to be different.

It'll definitely work in a standard PCI slot. Performance should be the same as the other model.

Yep, it'll be fine.

I think my LSI U160 card is PCI-X, and I definitely don't have PCI-X slots 😛
