Adam Lambert may be new Queen singer

Good for Adam, now he can continue to screech those high notes to an audience of retired hair metal fans. Hey look at me and how long I can hold this note! He fits in perfectly with the glam rock overdone music era.

Interesting comment by Brian May - makes me wonder what the runner-up's contract really looks like. That'd be one heck of a start for Adam...and I'm glad to read that Queen's time with Paul Rodgers is done.

Or, we could listen to Kris, another mumbling bubble gum glamour puss...

Adam is a queen alright....

Without Mercury, Queen does not exist. Adam can screech out screaming notes all he wants, I'm sure there are plenty of people who want to hear it. That doesn't include me though.

He should aim higher. Why sing old 1970's glam rock when he could go to Hollywood and portray a young Elvis in a biopic. Then he could sing old 1950's rockabilly with a modern spin.

You have no clue what you're saying. He fits Queen really really well.

Don't look at me, I voted for Allison.

How is this in the face of Adam Lambert haters? As far as I'm concerned, he can be with Queen so that he'll stay out of the music genres that I listen to. It's a win/win!!!

I agree.

Some people really get worked up over this stuff, I don't get it.
I don't deny he's got talent (although I'm not a fan of the screeching) but it's whether or not he's relevant in this day and age and would be successful.
I always thought he was more suited for Broadway myself.
I can just imagine (sadly) people getting all worked up behind their keyboards about things like this. Very sad. 🙁

I'm actually not getting worked up at all. You forget that posting online brings a lot of miscommunication about how people really feel. I actually don't care and I post stuff like this for fun, but my theory of everyone that dislike Adam being dumb/tasteless hasn't changed. The guy can sing, and he can sing really well, why do you think all the big artists were supporting him?

U2, Queen, Kiss, Kate Perry...

If big influential music icons have bad taste according to you guys, then what does that say about your tastes? lawl
