I run an ad-hoc wireless network, using my desktop as the host and WEP. Access has been fine since I first started running it until tonight.
I have all the normal settings still set up, ICS enabled on the NIC, with WEP enabled on the wireless card, the likes, etc. Now on the laptop the wireless card is sending packets out, but for some odd reason it is not receiving any (im boggled!). So with that being said, anyone have any suggestions? Same workgroup name (which by the way neither computer can see each other when you goto "View computers in workgroups." Host wireless card has an IP of the usual 192.168.0.1, while the laptop follows w/ .2, and the same subnet mask.
Im just trying to figure out why all of a sudden it is not working. I have yet to disconnect the cable modem, which I doubt would do anything. But anyways, any suggestions?
