There was ONE Trix commercial where the rabbit actually gets to eat the trix. I think it was the bike race one. Other than that, the other commercials are just as bad as their cereal after sitting there in milk for 5 minutes.

they are in the process of opening the 4th subway in my little city of 30,000 people!!!! that is ridiculous...each subway is no more than a 2 minute drive from each other.

Actually, about 15 years ago, Subway franchises could be purchased for on $8,000. I'm not sure how much the current franchise fee is. However, I do know that several owners are quite pissed because Subway is not regulating how far apart individual franchises should be placed - so some franchises are cannibalizing others.

To open a new Subway anywhere near an existing Subway owned by another franchisee, one MUST (if the other owner contests it... and they always do) have the local Subway development agency do an extensive site review survey to determine where the traffic is coming from, and if that traffic is coming from or going to anywhere near the proposed new store site.

If any owners are pissed, it's because they refuse to agree with the site surveys. And I can't see how they could do that.

And does it matter how many Subways are in a town? If they're making money, more power to them.

BTW, in most small cities, all the Subway stores will be owned by one, or two people. If you want to talk about oversaturation, let's talk about how Waffle Houses will be on BOTH sides of a highway on/off ramp intersection in many areas.
