Since Adaware hadn't been updated for months I switched to use SpyBot which I think is really good.

It'll be interesting to see what Adaware 6 provides.

I`ve been using it for about 10 days now(Ad-aware 6 pay version) and so far there has been two updates out already for it.

I do like the new layout 🙂.

Anyone know if you have to uninstall the previous version before installing the new one, or will it update the old version automatically?

It`s best to remove the old version first,that`s what I did,the new 6 version is different from the old 5.83 one.

You should remove the Ref update 2.01 program add-in as well for the old version if you`ve that installed,since Ad-aware 6 has a built-in update button.

Same here. I ran Ad-aware 6 and it found 8 new entries which SpyBot never picked up! 🙂 Like this version very much. Think I may register this one. 🙂

6.0 identified some SouthPark hearts game adware that I have installed...spybot and previous ad-aware never identified this. Since they are free, i'd definitely rely on both of them.
