Any of you ATOTers using these lenses? I've been using them for a while now, just wondering what others think of them.

They are nice because I can sleep with them in, and I only change them every 1-2 months, but when I do change them, I have a lot of trouble with them. I just changed lenses last night, and I can't wear the left one. I had to open a fresh left contact because the one I opened last night irritated my eye all day today. I don't see how I could have possibly ripped it, and I can't find anything wrong with it.

Anyone else ran into this problem?

Before everyone says "it's because you're wearing them too long", when I first started wearing these, I changed them every two weeks like the doc said, with the same results as if I wear them for a month.

I hate the darn things. Had them for a about a yr and haven't had time to buy some different ones. I have had the same problems you've had. Took me awhile but I found if you take the contact out that's bothering you, put it back in the opposite way, and make sure that when you take it out to clean it, to put in your storage container the way you took it out from your eye. So the next time you go to put it in, you know it's in the correct way and won't bother your eye.

I noticed that tear alot easier than the advance contacts. They feel like they float around on top of the eye a little more also

1. Yes, you're wearing them too long.
2. Rinse off with cleaning solution after opening a fresh one.
3. Use Alcon cleaning soluion
4. Stop wearing the damn things at night.

These are great lenses, I can't believe anyone would have problems with them.

i wouldn't want to wear them at night. Honestly, I know you CAN....but imagine how nasty your eyes are when you wake up in the morning...plus the protein buildup...ick.

I love them, I got them as soon as they came out. No nighttime bluriness.

But, it is your fault...1 month is as long as I go, actually I always change them every month. AND WHY ARE YOU SLEEPING WITH THEM? They do not offer enough oxygen to your eyes...you know what your irriation is? Pull up on your eyelid and feel them...I bet you have giant lumps on them called sties from lack of oxygen...if you do get drops from a doctor stat because they will become painful, they will itch, and they will bother you to no end.

<<<Contact lens weaer for more than 20 years.

No, no you cannot. Not only do your eyes need the oxygen, but you need to store them overnight to soak them so the solution has time to break off any protein buildup.

Also just buy equate solution from wal mart it is all the same.

If you want to sleep with your contact lenses, ask your optometrist about Ciba's Night and Days or Bausch and Lomb Purevision contact lenses. They are both FDA approved to wear continuously for 30 days. I use the night and days and they've been great for me so far (going on 2 months now). I've been told you either like one or the other, but since these haven't caused me any problems or discomfort, i'm sticking with them.

I would suggest that you not use the contacts outside what they claim they are rated for, mostly for 2 reasons: protein buildup and coating wear. Besides, for now you only have your current 2 eyes, no need to risk messing them up by extending your contacts that long:)

I've been using the Night and Days for about 2 years now. I leave them in for easily 6 weeks to 2 months at a time without ever taking them out. First thing I do when I wake up in the morning is just put a drop in each eye to moisten them and I'm good to go.

And if your eye was irritated with the contact, it's because you put it in inside out.

I agree.
Ciba Day and Night are GREAT.
I tried Bausch and Lomb Purevision because it was cheaper and I've been having problems witht them. They always end up irritating my eyes like i had a piece of lint in it...went through like 6 of them in a month...tried cleaning, making sure there's no tears, but they just don't do it for me.
Ordered a batch of Ciba ...can't wait.
