I am sorta in the market and am looking between the WRX and Mazda 3. Personally I am leaning towards the 3 as I can get it fully loaded for the same price or less than a new WRX. It's going to be a few months at least and more likely a year before I buy so things will change.

That just depends on what you want. I have a heavy right foot so it would be an easy choice for me. Besides, the 2.5 is under-rated from the factory. With some minor (under $1000) mods we're talking almost 300 hp.

Id say get the RSX, cause driving high strung cars like it such as the celica or civic Si are an absolute blast. 😛

All of you complaining that he picked 3 cars that aren't in the same class....WHO CARES!! He asked for an opinion out of 3 cars, so give him one for christ sake.

Hmm, the RSX is kind of looking a bit held back to me. Its too plain looking. I don't like flashy cars but I want a little bit of spice though. I think the Mazda3 is the perfect blend of performance and looks. Maybe Acura should refreshen up the RSX just a tad.

How is the resale value on the Mazda3? And reliability?

You do know they just refreshened it up, right?

BTW, get an s2000. Otherwise, go with the RSX, DEFINATELY GET THE TYPE S!!!!!!!!!!

The S2000 is such a small car, but I heard it is insanely fun to drive.
If I had that much money to spend I would get a Subaru WRX. Next choice would be the new Honda Civic SI. After that Accord, Mazda3, Acura.
I'm a person who likes more room in their car though.
If you don't mind a smaller car I would put the Acura over the Accord, but still WRX is my #1 choice.

I don't know about the RSX, but my wife just got a TSX and I think the interior is far and away nicer than an Accord. And it looks a lot nicer on the outside.

Doesn't the Si pretty much make the RSX irrelevant?

Not really right now.
Hard to find the Si for MSRP.
The RSX still looks better and its a hatch for versatility.

Also alot of people do not like buying new cars and you can find a nice Type S with 30K miles for around $15K.......can't do that with Si for a while.

My next car will be a RSX or Si and I'm leaning toward the RSX.

it would help to narrow down to a class 😛

BUT if you have to choose out of those 3, I would go with Ryan and take the Accord V6 Coupe with Nav. Plenty power for someone like me (grown out of racing days 😛 ), more room and sporty enuff for me. I currently am in a compact car and have resolved that my next car will definitely NOT be one... I feel like a kid in a compact car.

It would be more relevant if you had listed prices and options but as far as bang for the buck I guess I would go with the Mazda 3.

Maybe the Mazda 5 is a better car to compair to a Honda Accord. Compairing a Mazda 3 to an Accord is like compairing a Toyota RAV4 to a Hummer.

My question is do you have a family larger than two people? IF the answer is yes then get the Honda Accord.

Mazda3 is a nice car for its pricepoint... but no point considering it if you can get Accord

if you sat inside a V6 EX coupe.. you wouldnt believe its a Honda from the interior appointments and quality... it has really gone upscale... plus power (240? hp) and V6 torque... and honda reliability

Navigation in Si makes the interior upscale.. you can get aftermarket leather with all the money you save over the RSX

So, sporty = Si/RSX... sophisticated = Accord

the WRX is too chintzy to be taken seriously... with its 80s interior and that ridiculous wing. If I lived in icy condition, or if I was under 18 years old.. it would be WRX easily
