I test drove this thing last weekend and it's simply amazing. Aside the performance aspect, the technology on this thing is unbelievable. If you have a bluetooth phone, you can sync it with the car and when your phone rings you can pick up the phone through the car's system. Also there is some noise cancelling system where they emit sound waves to cancel out cabin noise. Not to mention the traffic alert system. The navigation system map shows the traffic on the freeway like the way traffic.com does.

Even after the test drive, my friend still chose to buy an Infiniti FX-45........

How the hell do the japanese crank out 300hp on a V6?!????

Your friend made the right decision.
340 hp V8, 350Z platform, distinct styling, AWD system from Skyline GTR. These things don't become obsolete like tech gizmos tend to. And you don't have to rev that V8 engine to 6000 rpm before the power kicks in. You can drive it all year long without ever going over 3000 rpm, and not miss out on the performance.

is the whole "plug the phone into the car system" a new thing? I was in Taiwan a year ago and all the Benz's over there had this already. Did cars have this feature awhile ago, or are the Acuras the first to release it in an american car?

i used to think the FX was ugly but it's grown on me. It's vicious... definitely looks like a man's car.

You don't plug it in. You leave the phone in your pocket.

It's like the car cloning your cell.

you don't plug it in, you can leave it in your pocket and it communicates wirelessly with the car.

oh... well i guess that just doesn't really appeal to me. To me there's no difference between plugging it in to the system and just having it in your pocket. Either way, it's damn cool when the phone rings :D

You can sync 2 phones. You give it a name, and the system will say who's phone it is and callerid on the screen.

To directly answer your Q you gotta sync your phone with the system.

you have no idea what you are talking about nor have you driven a TL or the RL (otherwise you would never say "rev up to 6000 rpm". Look at the freakin' torque curve.

But I do love the FX-45, just don't knock what you have no experience with.
