I have a Acura 2005 TL with Navigation and I was looking to get an updated DVD as a lot of roads on my 05 disk are not there.

Which disk should I go about buying? I have seen so many different versions and didnt know which was the most up to date one that would be compatible with my car.

Also would I be able to get traffic somehow on my Nav? Is that included with the disk? Does the 05 allow this?

Thanks.

I was looking into the updates for my 2006 TL last week. Apparently there was a problem with the most recent disk in 2007 + 2008 cars so it was recalled and it hasn't been re-released yet. It was originally released back in November and it hasn't been re-released yet.

If you buy one new it looks like it's around $185. If you go to the main Acura web site and click the "Acura Store" link in the bottom right corner there is a link there to the latest navigation discs. You could obviously get one for much cheaper on e-bay, but I'm not sure what version numbers are the most recent.

No, I don't think it's possible to get traffic with a new DVD. There must be some hardware involved in the 2007 and 2008 TLs that the older ones don't have. If you have XM radio they have channels with constant local traffic updates, that's about as close as you can get without spending a too much money on it.

You will not be able to get traffic, I had an 04 and the dealer gave me the 07 disk after my NAVI unit died late last year. There was some new stuff but nothing major. IMHO it's not worth $185. Maybe I would have paid $50 and I'm one of those guys who always has to have the latest.
