Actual Performance Differences 512e 512n 4kn

I did a quick google on the above title and didn't really come across much other than theoretical stuff. Has anyone done any actual real world performance tests? I'm wondering if I should try to find true 4kn backup drives or settle for 512e drives. For example, some manufacturers offer their high capacity drives as either, but at different price points and they are not all stocked at the same levels at suppliers. I was hoping to provide this as a suggestion for the actual anandtech.com website.
