We have to listen to them spout off their "anti-war" crap, but we aren't allowed to spout off our own "boycott the anti-war idiot" crap? Duh, can we say double-standards?
And where do they get off even remotely comparing this to the McCarthyism days? Just shows that you don't need to be very intelligent to be a professional actor.

Because, professor, there's a difference between a boycott(fine but pointless) and simply demanding that someone lose their job over political views.
Hollywood types have always been paranoid about blacklists...it's kind of amusing, really. To this day there are still those that think Elia Kazan is the devil himself and object to *any* recognition of his achievements as a director. Contrast that with their nonchalant attitude towards Roman Polanski's Oscar nomination and it's pretty clear where Hollywood's priorities lie. They fear another era of McCarthyism

Hahaha. Fear keeps you on your toes🙂 I don't watch or watch a TV program or Movie based on an Actors political views. Of course I really don't give a damn what they have to say about politics in the first place. In fact I kind of expect actors to be weird as they are artists themselves and from what I've seen their values are always a little off because they tend to think in the abstract. Even if I felt like Martin Sheen does regarding this upcoming war (which I don't) his being an acto0r would seem to me as more of a distraction to the cause than anything else. Of course I hold other Celebrities like Limbaugh and Heston in the same low regard when it comes to Politics. They, like Sheen, just use their notoriety to influence those of lessor mental capabilities.Originally posted by: Electric Amish
Good. They should.

They should feel backlash, not only because of their anti-war statements - but, because their talents are not worth the amount they are getting paid.
What, me envious? Not a chance. 😉Originally posted by: Red Dawn
