It sounds like you are saying America is not a great nation as all other nations that have banned guns have been successful and have reduced gun deaths with great success. Can you find me a country that has banned guns but was unsuccessful at it? And dont bother bringing up criminals with guns, because we all know that is going to happen.

How about countries that have banned guns but have seen no drop in murder rate? Would that count?

Said virtually every woman at some point who was cheated on in history
Sure.

But you don't know him or anything about our lives. Before him I would never have said it about any man I knew. My father is a whore dog, one of my brothers was a whore dog (it may have been his actual super power before he died).

My husband has literally had women very attracted to him and been completely oblivious to it... (it amuses me). Women equally or even more attractive than me, a woman younger than me (she's a cutey) who hangs on his every word and gives him nothing but googly eyes (Daddy issues I suspect). I am who he wants. Very long history of married until death in his family and a devotion that when I joined the family almost creeped me out because I had never seen anything like it before.

But if I'm wrong I'll feel sufficiently stupid and heartbroken and probably immediately come to this forum to tell you, you were right and I am a supreme idiot. For now though, full confidence in my man feels good and right. Certainly freer than any dope I came across before him.

My first husband never cheated on me either. Dysfunctional relationship but still full devotion (we spent 24 hours a day together every day for 7 years).

* You're more obsessed with his penis now, aren't you? He's still not interested, sorry bud.

Crying's not really my thing. Some fella's in here cry a significant amount. Will you make them the same offer?
I offer my virtual pork shoulder to anyone who might require it.:D It looks rather delish so if it were actually within reach I'd probably declare to be food and consume it.:p

So yes. I'm sure they'll appreciate it. Them fella's seem like an appreciative bunch.

Any way, thanks Puff. For the time being I will continue laughing at them. I know they can't help themselves and it's not their intention but they're hysterical.

Have you ever fired a lot of rounds in a short time? Firing a gun takes more energy then most people would believe, and I can only imaging that even for the mentally deranged killing people is mentally stressful.

It isn't that physically draining, esp. if you're shooting a semi-auto weapon.

Hell, I shot hundreds at a time while in the military and never came out feeling exhausted. It's not like I'm a huge guy or anything...but semi-auto rifles do make shooting quite easy.

Then again, this shooting was "disposing" of the leftover rounds that'd been loaded for training for the troops. I was a medic with a combat engineer battalion for a few years and I volunteered for every night shoot possible. I love watching tracers. That and I got to help get rid of preloaded mags after the troops had shot and left the range. It was much simpler for the company's armory to record zero rounds returned vs. counting them and re-inventoring them. The armorers hated taking rounds back.

It was shoot until the barrel glowed. We'd get given stacks of loaded magazines and just let loose. Quite enjoyed that. Also enjoyed blowing shit up with C4, bangalore torpodoes and det cord and setting off the occasional claymore. Combat engineers got to play with some neat crap.

LOL, I couldn't care less about his penis. If you reread my original reply I even said that as long as both you and him are happy with it that was all that mattered.

I am truly happy for you that you have such a strong relationship and truly hope that it works out for you until you are both old, gray and sitting in rocking chairs on the porch (or whatever is your thing when you are that old).

*I don't know what "freer than any dope you came across before him" means. I'm clueless about "freer" and generally "dope" means heroin which I am assuming is not the case in this instance but of course I could be wrong.

** If I was interested in penis, for the record I'm not and couldn't give half a damn if you believe me or continue to say that I am, I don't think I'd be overly interested in your husbands given your remarks. I'm not homophobic so calling me gay doesn't really insult me much, might piss off these other guys but like I said I couldn't give a damn. By all means feel free to continue though.

This subforum is described by the powers that be as "A forum for more serious discussions of politics and current events." If only there was a way to curtail the posts and/or the posters of the totally unrelated detritus you're speaking of...

This has to be trolling given the amount of complete unadulterated bull shit you've posted here. If you were interested in a serious discussion you wouldn't start by frequently posting lies as factual statements.

If the three of you simpletons are infatuated with penises and your husbands, L&R is the place to be posting that not P&N.

You're one of the most egregious carpet-bombing shitposters on this forum, and you've got the gall to attempt to call moderation other users? Hypocrite.

To me that's a fundamental part of a constitutional republic, every state gets their voice heard. That's why it isn't the Federal Government of America, it's the United States of America. Fifty entity's bound together for the common good.

Technically that ended on April 12, 1861. We are now a Federal Government with 50 local governments under it's control, and that has since been formalized by SCOTUS as the Supremacy Clause.

I like the entire concept of a constitutional republic because it caps democracy, it helps limit stupidity. The flip side of that is that is that also slows down growth as a society, we can't change the rules to react to an ever changing world. Though 90% of the time that's still a good thing.

It does no such thing. The constitution itself is amendable by the people. It is, and always has been, the people that decide things, with representation being merely a method to concentrate their voices. representatives are intended to do the will of the people, not subvert it because they know better, because at the time of the writing of the constitution the concept of a more direct democracy was not technologically feasible.

Nah, we're good.

Aww, like most men I can't say that I mind the attention but I guess it would be more entertaining to watch your efforts spent pissing off the real assholes.

Anytime you want to try again I'm more than happy to oblige.

LOL! I've got one of those at home, difficult to piss off. It's not worth it but I still try occasionally 19 years in.

Actually I've decided to back off a bit from the forum. Stupid people piss me off too much. I couldn't care what they say to me or about me but the depth of and devotion to their stupidity, hate and insecurity makes me rage.

I had somehow before the Trump Era convinced myself not that they were a dying breed but they at least knew their place. Usher in their Great & Stupid Kumtwat King talking head and suddenly spewing stupid isn't just a right but an obligation. It hurts my heart. I hate that there are so many loathsome people wanting and receiving hateful policy stemming from ignorance, intolerance, greed, hate, extreme religious belief, fear, paranoia and insecurity.

I've never had any tolerance for assholes (becoming one myself to lash out at them, true enough) and that has been the extent of any prejudice I have had until now. Trumpublicans (one and the same as the above mentioned assholes) have been added to my list of next to zero tolerance for.

This gun nut, 2A purist intolerance has grown within me with every mass shooting but again, I add them to the asshole list. I don't care about their junk but I know they do so I grab 'em by their pussies and call them stupid! Two things insecure men can't handle. Tends to make them cry... a lot. Deservedly. Thinking of starting a company that sells only to Trumpublicans and gun nuts. The only products will be binky's and security blankets. ... Maybe Junk Enhancement tools and Pore enlargement mirrors affixed to some sort of hip holster, daily affirmations booklet included. I'm gonna save the world from stupid, insecure men! LOL *sigh* impossible.
