She's mentioned her husband more than once in debates I've had with her, so I don't know if mentioning him in return should be a huge sin. On topic though. I always find it interesting how almost all mass shooters burn themselves out and quit before confronted by police or running out of targets/ammo. You see it in nearly every mass shooting, even Vegas, Columbine, etc. I also assume that no matter how fucked up someone is, the actual act of killing random innocent people triggers a reaction in them and it goes from a thrill (or whatever) to a "WTF am I doing?"

Along these lines, it is interesting there are very few female shooters, and now that there is one she seems to have burned out very quickly compared to the average male shooter.

They are almost always not in the best physical and mental shape to begin with, and have probably not slept much or ate a healthy meal in a while, so simply get exhausted.

Have you ever fired a lot of rounds in a short time? Firing a gun takes more energy then most people would believe, and I can only imaging that even for the mentally deranged killing people is mentally stressful.

A novel comment on a topic that mostly involves people saying the same things they said last time. I wonder if this is true or not though? Someone must have studied it, surely? Hard to ask a spree-killer why they stopped and shot themselves, but I guess there have been many studies of the behaviour of soldiers, which is slightly related (or very related, in events like My Lai). I vaguely remember some study that found while most soldiers in WW1 found combat traumatic, a small minority really enjoyed it.

Is killing stressful or not? And is it the same for everyone?
