Active Directory 2003 client?

I'm looking for some kind of applicaiton that will let me access a Win 2003 server's AD without remote desktopping into it just to unlock an account, etc. I know they exist, but don't know what to search for.

I have full administration rights on the server itself and full domain admin rights, so if I have to install some application on the server to make it work, that's ok too.

I think that this is what you're looking for. You only have to install it on your workstation as long as it's a member of the domain.

Yep, that will give you the AD Users and Computers MMC snap-in, as well as other goodies. No need to install anything on the server, just on your workstation.

I'd warn against it though...really RDP is the safest way to do this...

I disagree about RDP being the 'safest' way to do things. There certainly isn't anything wrong with doing it from another machine. My customer uses a central managment server that all the admins TS into. It has all the tools they need on it, so everything is run from there.
 
I am using the admin pack linked to in the first reply, it seems to work just fine. Thanks for all the help, it's saved me time already.
 
uninstall it and get the admin pack for SP1. If your not running SP1 on your server then that would be the first order of business

In a perfect world, yes. When you have to rely on vendor certification - or worse, FDA certification - you can't always stay as current as you would like. 🙁

I disagree; having someone log into the server console to do simple tasks such as user management is poor security practice.

Even if your server wasnt SP1 the SP1 admin pack would work fine (it also works for 2000 servers).
